701 Coffee and Speed Shop

Coffee is a staple of the morning in the Bakken. From that first grind to the last pour, coffee has powered the oilfields since we first started bringing oil up to the surface. It’s no surprise that motorsport has become the weekend pastime of the hard workers of the oilfield, and this gave Chucky Kuhlmann an idea. Coffee lovers and petrol heads can come by the 701 Coffee & Speed shop and see some amazing classic cars and sip some of the best coffee in town. Located on Second Street West, this 1950’s style drive up has all the charm and appeal of the first Williston oilfield days. “We can get pretty much any part anyone needs. We carry Texas Speed & Performance and Summit racing equipment but we can get pretty much anything out there. Our turn around for orders is really fast too.”

The coffee shop is a nice little space to wait for your car to be shined up or have parts installed. 701 Coffee & Speed Shop had its grand opening on July 8th in collaboration with Arnie’s Powersports & Cycle and classic car fans and coffee lovers lined up to see the fresh paint jobs and taste the fresh coffee. Belinda ODell of Better Living with Belle came down to show her support for a fellow up-and-comer in the small business community of Williston. “It’s cool to see all these neat places opening up in all these cool buildings.'' Better Living With Belle was also recently featured at a gathering of the 1 Million Cups and perhaps we’ll be seeing some faces from 701 Coffee & Speed shop there soon, too. Williston prides itself in helping small businesses thrive from the star fund to local camaraderie and support through social media. Chucky plans to have more services added to the speed shop and welcomes everyone to come have a cup of your favorite coffee or drink and see how he can make your classic kitten purr better. So grab your favorite coffee aficionado and enjoy the experience soon.
