Onesti Krieger is a name that is synonymous with the thriving art community in Williston, North Dakota. She has been making waves with her latest venture, Art On The Street, an event that promises to bring together the community and foster creativity. The event will be held on 4th Street West between Main St. and 1st Ave West, and it aims to bring art to life along the 4th Street West cultural corridor.

The event is free to attend, and all ages are welcome. Attendees can expect an afternoon of fun, music, and food, as well as the opportunity to take part in large scale paint-by-number designs submitted by area artists. The supplies needed for the event will be provided, and local craft and food vendors will also be in attendance.

The 4th Street West cultural corridor committee has been working hard to make the space from Main Street to Second Avenue West more walkable and desirable to visit. This has included the replacement of the sidewalks, the addition of trees, light poles, and art banners. The next step in this project is to paint some of the concrete in the parklet and the intersection of First Avenue West and Fourth Street.

To achieve this, the project has enlisted the help of artist Melissa Gordon from Bismarck. Gordon will lay down a template for the community to paint over. During the event, there will be three spots where painting will occur, with the community being guided through the painting process. The event will feature live music from artists like Alma Cook and local artisans selling their work as well as the food vendors providing tasty snacks and refreshments.

Art On The Street has been made possible through funding from Arts Midwest and the Williston STAR Fund. The project was born out of a desire to bring more public art to the area, despite the limited number of walls available to work with. The result is an exciting and unique event that will bring the community together to create something beautiful.

Art On The Street is set to take place on May 13th, from 2pm to 6pm. The event promises to be a fun-filled and memorable experience for all who attend. It offers a special opportunity to come together as a community and create something that will be enjoyed by all. The event is suitable for all ages and offers a chance to immerse oneself in the local art scene.
