CHI St. Alexius Health Williston and the Mercy Medical Foundation are excited to announce the Hometown Healing Charity Concert Featuring Clay Walker, hosted by Williston Parks and Rec!

“We are so excited to bring an artist of Clay Walker’s caliber to Williston! This project has been a labor of love and we are so proud to finally be able to make this announcement and to host the event at the ARC”, says Brittny Mayo, Foundation Development Coordinator at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston. Mayo adds “Music is a universal language that has a positive impact on overall health, we thought what better way to celebrate and heal with the community than a concert!”

An opening artist will be announced mid August. The concert will close out a full day of events for CHI St. Alexius Health Williston, starting with the annual Sugar Bust 5k which will be held at Spring Lake Park in the morning and followed by a free community fair. “The entire day is about giving back to the community we serve and working towards building a facility we can all be proud of”, says Mayo.

The concert will take place Saturday,Sep 9, 2023 at the Williston ARC. Tickets are available now and can be purchased online at https://www.chistalexiushealth.org/williston-foundation/hometown-healing-charity-concert. All ticket sales are final.

This event will replace the hospital's annual Golf Classic. “Our Swing for a Cure golf classic, for many years, has only targeted a specific demographic”, says Mayo. “We really wanted to bring an event to Williston that the entire community could enjoy.” Funds raised from this charity concert will go towards completing CHI St. Alexius Health Willistons’ Expansion and Revival Project.

“This project will include the renovation of our existing former MotherBaby unit to accommodate our new updated MedSurg unit, which includes larger patient rooms with full shower facilities in each room,” says hospital president Garrick Hyde. He goes on to add  “We will then renovate the existing MedSurg unit to accommodate our newly expanded 22 private bed Emergency Department! With this Expansion and Revival Project, we will be able to update multiple units without interrupting care, and expanding our Emergency Department 3 years early!”

CHI St. Alexius Health has invested over $50,0000 dollars into its community this year in the form of sponsorships, donations and community engagement alone. “We are honored to be able to care for and be a part of such an amazing community, and giving back to the people we serve is a key component of our mission and humankindness”, says Marketing Specialist, Marcia Benway. These funds were invested into the community on top of $521,000 in equipment upgrades and $55,000 for WSC/U of Mary and TrainND scholarships.
