The play was written by Brad Dokken, who wanted to create a play that would allow the audience to forget their worries for a couple of hours and enjoy some laughs. Dokken believes that the play's main theme is relationships. He explains, "It's all about relationships and how we encounter those and what we do with them, or don't do with them. And if you want a tagline, I'll give you this tagline. Everybody has a secret. Everybody in the show has a secret. And by the end of the night, all the secrets are revealed."
Dokken has been working on the play for several years, and he is excited to bring it back to Entertainment Inc. where it was first conceived. He credits Jim Ryen, the director, as one of the people who helped bring the play to life. Dokken says, "Jim Ryen was one of the guys that was a part of the reading. And so then my wife and I left and went to a new place, and I kept working on it. And in 2018, another company took it in to create its world premiere, and ever since that happened, it's been my goal to have it done on the stage where it first was, where it was first conceived. And so here we are."
