Credit & Collections Policy

Any time we receive payment for work already done, we are operating on a credit model. This credit policy is designed to limit our credit risk while providing a convenient and flexible payment option for customers purchasing print and advertising services. It outlines the requirements for establishing payment terms with our customers, as well as the monitoring of those terms. This policy supersedes all past policies and applies to all current credit accounts. If you have any questions, please contact our business office.

Prepay Accounts

New accounts are expected to prepay for advertising. Payment is expected at the time of the insertion order. Advertisements will not run without payment in full. Prior accounts which have not advertised in the last 6 months will be automatically moved to inactive status and will be expected to prepay for advertising services.

Credit Applications

The office manager is authorized to extend credit to customers and to communicate with them regarding their credit status. The company will extend credit to customers who meet our threshold criteria for the granting of credit. Customers who wish to apply for credit must submit a signed credit application to our business office for processing. Incomplete, inaccurate, or illegible credit applications will be delayed or rejected. Processing will typically be completed within 3 business days. All services must be prepaid until credit is approved.

General Credit Policy

All terms of sale are net 30 days. If a client fails to meet the requirements of this policy, the account will be moved to prepay status and credit will be suspended until payment has been made in full. Delinquent credit accounts will be assessed a monthly late fee of $25 until paid in full. We accept payments by check, debit card, or credit card.

Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF)

Clients with a check returned due to insufficient funds will be charged a $50 NSF Fee. Accounts will be suspended until the funds and fees are paid in full by either cash or credit card.

Collections

To be considered current, all accounts are expected to be paid within 30 days from the date of invoice. Any account exceeding 60 days past due will be suspended and moved to prepay status. Collection efforts will be made by our business office using the contact methods listed on the credit application. It is the responsibility of the client to update the business office immediately regarding any changes to the account. If we are unable to collect in a reasonable amount of time, the account will be turned over to a collection agency. Any requests for special accommodations outside of this policy must be made in writing.

Copy Regulations

We reserve the right to reject any advertisement which we find does not meet our advertising standards. This includes offensive imagery, language, phrasing, or subject matter. Any advertisement with the appearance of a news item must contain the word “advertisement” in the header.

Political

All political ads must be prepaid prior to ad run and must contain a disclaimer stating the name and address of the entity paying for the ad.
