Sometimes finding stuff to do can feel impossible. However, there’s almost always something to do in Williston, ND. With the New Year, the Williston Parks and Recreation has opened their Winter/Spring Programs registration! Kicking off the New Year for youth sports is:
3rd-6th Grade Boys Basketball: January 10th - March 9th
K-6th Grade Winter Cheer Squad: January 9th - March 2nd
3yo-12yo Indoor Soccer League: Starting February 25th
K-2nd Grade Sports Sampler: January 21st - February 11th
Travel Volleyball, several ages: Parent meeting Jan 11th; tryouts January 15th
3rd-6th Grade Girls Run Strong: February 28th - May 4th
3yo-12yo Youth Tennis: Starting January 7th
9yo-15yo Youth Curling: January 9th - February 16th
Strider Classes: In March
Offseason Baseball Training: January 8th - March 26th
10yo-17yo Girls Youth Pink Gloves Boxing: January 9th - February 15th
8yo-12yo Youth Boot Camp: 4 week camp starting January 10th
The Area Recreation Center (ARC) will also have numerous Kids Night Out events starting January 13th! For $20 you can drop your kiddos off at the ARC for a night filled with themed fun!
They offer indoor skating at the Raymond Family Community Center AND outdoor skating at the outdoor rink near the Play 4 All park.
For those of us who have made the resolution to start 2023 with fitness, you can check out their Go 2023 Fitness Challenge, “Bee Yourself”. The goal is to work out 2023 minutes in 60 days, and I know it seems like a lot (it is A LOT) but it works out to an hour workout each day! There are numerous classes ranging from Meal Prep and Nutrition to Les Mills and all the way over to Adult Volleyball, Disc Golf, Pink Gloves Boxing, and Tennis! With numerous Aquatic classes also available, not to mention the sweet slides, there is plenty to do at the Williston Area Recreation Center to kickstart your fitness journey!
The WARPD also hosts a Mother/Son date for just moms and sons to have a night out together, a Daddy/Daughter dance with a DJ and photographer, and a Mother/Daughter Day that’s a fun time for moms and daughters to bond. You can also check out the Nerf Wars, kids camp, and ice skating!
