What if a product I want doesn’t come up in a search?

Let us know what you’d like to see in Community Shopper’s offers and we’ll do our best to make it happen. The more Community Shopper members that request an item, the easier it is for us to get the product you request. Get your friends and other members of Community Shopper in on the request and we can make an offer to our vendors they can’t refuse. Share the Power!

Why is there a time limit and set quantity for the offers?

Good question – and the answer is good, too. In fact, it’s the reason Community Shopper can offer such great deals. Sellers lower their prices dramatically when they can sell large numbers of products in a short period of time. Instead of asking you to buy 25, 50, or even 100 items within a twenty-four hour period to get that dramatically reduced price, we set up the offer so you can buy 1 item along with 24, 49, or 99 other Community Shoppers members. Sellers set the terms, the community gets the deals!

What if I select “I am in!” and the time runs out before the seller’s quantity is reached?

If time runs out before the shopping cart hits its target, the deal’s off. In the unlikely event that this occurs, the vendor may offer the deal again and start the clock over. The one way to avoid this scenario is to “Share the Power” and let friends and other Community Shopper members have a chance to get in on the deal with you and move that cart across the finish line!

How does ‘Share the Power’ work?

Community Shopper is your community. You can use it however you’d like. Come in alone and join in on offers with other shoppers that you don’t necessarily know, or bring in your friends to shop with you. Let’s say you let us know that “I am in!” on an offer, the time’s running out, and there are still 10 shoppers needed to join in to get the deal. “Share the Power” lets you tap into your social network to get the deal.

When can I use the “I am out!” button?

There are two possibilities:

  1. When you see an offer that you do not want for a particular reason:

Maybe the price isn’t right, or you would prefer some variation on the seller’s terms. Select “I am out!” and leave feedback that will be shared with that seller.

  1. If you have already selected “I am In!” on an offer:

Anytime after you have selected “I am in!” and before the Community Shopper cart has reached its target number of items, you can select “I am out!” and you will be officially out of the deal. You can always jump back in with “I am in!” if you change your mind…as long as too many other shoppers haven’t already jumped on the deal, that is.

After the seller’s required number of items has been met, can I buy the item at the offer price?

Sorry, but no can do. When the Community Shopper cart hits that “magic” number, the deal is over. All the shoppers who were “in” get the deal. All others watch from the outside, wondering what could have been.
